Jackie O’Brien RN, BSN, CNOR

Clinical Director at Cedar Lane Surgery Center

With 12 years of OR experience and training at Georgetown University Hospital, Jackie brings expert-level knowledge in plastic, trauma, general, vascular, and ophthalmic surgery. A proud George Mason alum and CNOR-certified perfectionist, she leads with passion, precision, and a love for all things surgical. Off the clock, she’s exploring new restaurants, hitting concerts and wineries, or hanging out with her cat—Biggie Smalls, the real boss at home.

Christine Lunger

Patient Care Coordinator

As the first point of contact for surgical patients at Congressional Plastic Surgery, Christine plays a pivotal role in guiding individuals through their surgical journey. With a compassionate approach and a wealth of knowledge, she ensures that each patient feels informed, supported, and confident from the initial consultation to post-operative care.

Christine is dedicated to providing exceptional service, addressing patient inquiries, and facilitating seamless communication between patients and the surgical team. Her expertise in coordinating consultations, scheduling surgeries, and managing patient care contributes to a positive and efficient experience for all patients.

Katherine Mendez

Surgery Center Coordinator

With degrees in Psychology and Business, Katherine is compassionate, organized, and brings a deep understanding of plastic surgery to every patient experience. She ensures each step of the surgical process is seamless and stress-free, so patients feel confident and cared for from start to finish. Off the clock, she’s exploring new coffee shops and restaurants—or negotiating with her husband Cristian for a tropical escape, preferably with a mega pint of margarita in hand.

Sereeda McKoy

Front Desk Coordinator

With a background in luxury sales and high-profile personal assisting, Sereeda brings over four years of experience in the aesthetics industry and a refined approach to client service. As the Front Desk Coordinator at a premier cosmetic surgery practice, she serves as the vital link between patients and providers—ensuring every interaction is seamless, efficient, and warmly professional.

Sereeda expertly manages appointment scheduling, phone communications, and daily operations, creating a welcoming and organized environment for patients and staff alike. Her ability to anticipate needs and maintain poise under pressure stems from years of catering to discerning clientele in fast-paced, high-expectation environments.

Known for her discretion, attention to detail, and polished demeanor, Sereeda is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they walk in.

Carey McLaughlin

Licensed Master Esthetician

With a Bachelor of Science degree from Frostburg State University and a Master Esthetics education from the Esthetic Institute in Vienna, VA, she brings both clinical knowledge and hands-on expertise to her role as Master Aesthetician.

Since joining the practice in October 2019, she’s been dedicated to helping patients feel confident and cared for—whether through customized skincare treatments or supporting them before and after surgery. She is certified in advanced treatments including Morpheus8, Broad Band Light (BBL) Laser, CO₂ Resurfacing, Hydrafacial, and MiraDry.

In addition to esthetic services, she assists in the clinic with pre-op, post-op, and follow-up appointments to ensure a smooth and supportive experience for every patient.

When not in the office, you can find Carey in a Pilates class or catching up on the latest reality shows on Bravo.

Monica Thompson

Physician Assistant

Monica is an experienced Physician Assistant with over a decade of expertise in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery. She previously served as the Lead Physician Assistant in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she also completed her PA residency training. Monica earned her PA degree from King’s College and is a proud native of Pennsylvania.

Known for her precision, warmth, and gentle touch, Monica is passionate about helping patients look and feel their best.

When she's not in the clinic, you'll find her hiking and exploring the outdoors with her husband and two children, squeezing in a good run, relaxing with a book, or enjoying a chocolate chip cookie. Her current guilty pleasure? Love is Blind—because even the most skilled injector needs a little drama now and then.

Paloma Ames-Zuniga

Medical Assistant

Paloma brings a strong academic foundation and hands-on clinical experience to her role as Dr. Chang’s medical assistant. She holds a B.S. in Public Health from George Washington University and an M.S. in Physiology from Georgetown University.

In the clinic, she works closely alongside Dr. Chang, assisting with appointments and procedures to ensure smooth and attentive care.

Paloma looks forward to attending medical school in the future. When not in the office, she enjoys baking, going to concerts, and spending time with her beloved corgi, Enchilada, and her two cats, Peach and Plum.
